The Hired Guns are seeking up to 3 strong-minded and highly capable producers for our client, a major interactive agency that is known for its stellar work.

As a producer at this agency, you will be very much the heart of the project and the essential glue that holds it all together. While formal project management is an important part of each producer's job, successful producers are always more than pure project managers: while a project manager may be adept at scheduling, coordinating project efforts and resources, and budgeting, at this firm a producer must also possess a visceral understanding of creative development in all its forms (design, IA, content development, interface engineering) and the ability both to facilitate creative dialogue and to faithfully represent the agency's creative efforts and methodologies to their clients.

There are three great opportunities available, one long-term freelance and two fulltime. The freelance gig is on a fun Consumer Packaged Goods brand. One of the two fulltime positions is on a pharma account and the other a credit card account.

Responsibilities as the Producer:
-Owning designated tasks/efforts within User Experience (e.g. content development/management, section development, partner project, etc.) and serving as the primary client contact for those efforts
-Preparing and validating budget, schedule, and staffing plan for select components of the User Experience development effort
-Preparing select user-track documents and populating extranet with updated project documents
-Acting as liaison between client/User Experience Lead and mid- and associate-level members of User Experience team, helping to ensure continuity of project vision and development across the Creative, IA, Content, and Interface Engineering teams; facilitating creative cross-competency collaboration
-Leading production management and asset management efforts
-Coordinating and helping lead formal client presentations
-Planning and overseeing ongoing QA within the User Experience (including validating designs and templates against IA and functional specs) as well as formal cross-track testing prior to deployment
-Mentoring and overseeing Associate Producers

Required Experience:
Client Management:
-2-4 years experience in a range of client management situations with clients representing multiple industries and corporate structures, and on projects of varying duration and complexity;evidence of successful client communication across a full project lifecycle

Team Management:
-2-3 years experience coordinating, though not necessarily leading, a mid-sized (5-9 person) cross-competency team in the web development industry across a suitable range of project types (tech-heavy, design-intensive, etc.); evidence of successful team coordination across a full project lifecycle; demonstrated ability to mentor associate-level producers

Project Management:
-Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) with formal project management methodology, including various forms of project documentation; demonstrated ability to accurately identify and mitigate project risk, to forecast development timelines and to budget accordingly

Knowledge:
-Professional experience developing User Experience creative (design, IA and/or interface engineering) and/or collaborating with (and not simply managing) one or more of the creative disciplines; understanding of the principles of and varying approaches to creative development for the web (design, IA) and ability to speak to these in public fora; working familiarity with Internet technologies including ability to speak to the technical lifecycle of website development; and professional writing experience (e.g., memo writing, external communications).
