Hybrid Product Manager/Information Architect (Fulltime, New York, NY)

The Hired Guns are working with a high-profile media company that has been immersed in the world of user-driven content for more than 25 years. This company is the world's leading provider of consumer survey-based leisure content, with over 250,000 surveyors providing ratings and reviews on restaurants, hotels, nightlife, movies, music, golf, shopping, spas and host of other entertainment resources! Can you guess who yet? This company is "highly entrepreneurial" and "runs in a lean and mean fashion." Which means you "have to like a fast-paced environment." To succeed here you need to be "self-motivated" and "comfortable with ambiguity". Most importantly you need to "adore the foodie experience." We are looking for a stellar candidate who is highly interested in serving as a hybrid Product Manager/IA for a content company. In this role you will be charged with producing amazing user experiences on the Web, on mobile, on the Palm and Pocket PC operating systems, and more. So prepare to have fun. This company sees itself as "channel-agnostic" and is keenly interested in expanding its community by adding functionality to its site and mobile platforms. In this role you will work closely with the IT department (almost all development is done in-house). While the techies have a strong voice in the product development process, you must be able to hold your own and fight for what you believe in.
