Our client delivers marketing and software services to the financial community. They are a privately held firm that is experiencing significant growth. The Technical Project Manager is a key role for them that will work in a customer-facing capacity. This role requires 10-20% travel.

This role will be responsible for managing various web-based projects. The initial focus will be on the redesign of a major customer-facing website within the financial community. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for complete project management on client engagements involving our web applications development group. This position will lead software development and integration projects from conceptualization through implementation and acceptance testing. Requires daily task and timeline management of resources in graphic/UI design, content creation, information architecture, and development. This role is also a primary contact for our clients.

Responsibilities include the following: Manage key strategic internal client relationships with project stakeholders and management. Drive project requirements, priorities and deadlines, not just record & manage them. Maintain complex MS Project files using predecessors, resource leveling and tracking. Coordinate highly skilled, cross-functional teams (content authors, software developers, network operations, creative designers, vendors and business stakeholders) across one or more projects. Develops and manages budget for assigned project(s), monitors project progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly. Prepares and presents progress reports for management. Interacts at very high levels with decision-makers both internally and externally. Manage expectations and provide master project planning to ensure all agreed upon deliverables are met cost effectively and according to project timeline commitments. Solves problems, prioritizes deliverables and manages project scope.


This position requires the following qualifications:

Previous experience working as a full-time employee for an Interactive Agency while managing the building and/or redesign of websites for external clients.
Proven ability to run projects and deliver business results including full responsibility in leading large-scale, cross-functional technology projects through full project cycle; preferably in a fast changing environment (agency experience a plus).
Expert skills with Microsoft Project.
Applicants should be currently working in a full-time, permanent position.
Bachelor's Degree with coursework in project management or similar.
