My client in midtown Manhattan is seeking an Account Manager with experience in the interactive world.

Salary-$110,000 w/ Bonus up to 20% Account Manager Position Summary The AM serves as the primary business contact for the client and is responsible for client satisfaction. Consistently provides excellent customer service to accounts. Represents client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. Builds relationships with clients to encourage repeat and new business opportunities. The AM is responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue. Reviews all major deliverables (i.e. strategic brief, function spec, tech spec, etc.) to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met. Ensures that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the Account Director or Managing Director of any problems that may arise. Owns the contract and contract renewals for new work for an existing client. Approves Change Orders and invoices, and is responsible for payment collections. The AM works closely with the project team in order to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project. Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and that projects are profitable. Through hands-on and day to day involvement with projects, the AM provides overall team and project leadership, and is prepared to take on the Project Manager and/or Program Manager's delivery management responsibilities when necessary. The AM is aware and pursues opportunities for account growth and new business, involving the Account Director, Sales or other company support to pursue opportunities when necessary. The AM effectively communicates the client's goals and represent the client's interests to the team. Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations. The AM has a clear understanding of the companies capabilities and service, and effectively communicates all company offerings to the client. The AM provides ongoing support of company efforts to drive sales. The AM reports to the Account Director, providing regular input on all account activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis. Required Skills: • Proven Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships • Minimum 5 years of Account Management experience • Experience in interactive or software development preferred • Bachelors degree in business and/or information technology; Masters preferred • Proven experience having sold to and consulting with senior managers and executives • Meet and exceed high sales quotas (previous quotas must be over $1.5M/year) • Gather Client requirements and effectively communicate them to the Project Teams • Must be willing to work at Client site as often as necessary • Travel is expected. Amount depends on the Client assignment(s) • Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc) • Be motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator • High level of initiative and work well in a team environment • Excellent written and oral communication skills • An effective leader and team player • Handle stressful situations and deadline pressures • Plan and carryout responsibilities with minimal direction • Strong and effective decision making skills |
